About

Humanity needed the Tahli to chase the invading Borie from Earth. The Tahli needed Earth since their dying sun was giving off radiation that sterilized most of their women. They can either make it work, or both go extinct.

At the age of seven, Winnie was pulled from the rubble of a dying world by Tahli soldiers. She became their reason to fight to protect the women and girls of Earth, even if it meant going against their people’s desperation to save their species.

In her adult years, Winnie wanted nothing more than to marry and have children after starting her successful tea and sweet shop in the colonies set up by the Tahli. Backstabbers, terrorists, and hate that still filled the rebuilding world always seemed to get in the way. That is until she has a chance meeting with a newly relocated Tahli on Kinship Day.

Praise for this book

Yes, that's correct, I could not stop reading this amazing sci-fi romance with a side of drama. The author knocked this one out of the park with heartfelt characters, real-world (and off-world) situations, the drama of planetary war and aliens coming together with humanity to fight the invaders. A charming tale of found-family, a look into prejudice, and a budding romance are only a few of the things to look forward to in this amazing piece. You will not be sorry you read this book.

I loved this story not only did it have aliens and humans fighting together against a common enemy it also had heartfelt and emotional relationships. There were also some fun amongst the struggles.
Highly recommend.

This is really quite lovely. It has a love story, a tea shop, nice aliens, bad aliens, cats who can kill the aliens and some terrorist attacks too. I enjoyed it.

It’s sweet. It’s got aliens. It’s got many different types of family and relationships and nuanced characters. It’s got tea and cookies. It’s a page turner, and I finished it in a handful of hours. It’s got cats killing aliens. It’s got nuanced portrayals of the effects of war on the vulnerable. It’s just lovely overall. 💜

We follow Winnie who is saved by Nix and Nosh after her mother is killed during an attack on her town. She's raised by Nix and Nosh and then put in the care of her brother. Winnie is taught how to brew tea and when she grows up, she owns her own tea shop. During Kinship Day, she meets Binx, who is a Tahli soldier in Nix's unit. Binx is instantly taken with Winnie. Binx intrigues Winnie and finds herself falling for him when he rescues her from being killed by a falling building. Their relationship starts blooming and then unexpected news comes to everyone that could change the whole dynamic of things. Winnie is pregnant. Binx doesn't change his mind and still wants to marry Winnie and raise her baby as the father. As this is happening, the Borie are attacking the Tahli and war is starting. Winnie's best friends Aqni and Nikki soon become her enemies when she is attacked by Aqni and some truths come out during that argument. As the war is getting worse, Winnie is getting ready to give birth to her daughter. We soon find out the baby's father's name and what happened between Winnie and this mystery father. Binx stays dedicated to Winnie through it all. If you want to know the missing details that I didn't share, I recommend reading this book! It was such a fun and sweet book! There are even cats that kill aliens!!!! This is one of those books you want to instantly reread because you don't want to leave that world and the friends you made along the way of reading the story! I can't wait to read more from Sinnamon, I'm an instant fan! ❤
